Moss Crumble
Moss Crumble is an offline brick-breaker in which you steer a carved stone sled to keep a glowing scarab in the air and crumble sixty sealed limestone chambers. This page explains what the app does and does not do with your data.
Moss Crumble does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information.
Information we collect
None. The game never asks for an email address, contacts, location, photos or any other personal detail. The surveyor name you can type on the Record screen is a nickname of your choosing; it is written to the game's own database on your phone and is read by nothing but the game.
Data stored on your device
To make the app work, Moss Crumble stores the following only on your device, using the operating system's local storage:
- Your surveyor name and the sigil you picked for it.
- Your Essence balance, lifetime Essence earned and the daily-tribute streak.
- Per-chamber progress: which chambers are cleared, stars earned and best score.
- Relic tiers bought in the Exchange and the boosts you hold.
- Citation (achievement) progress and which citations are unlocked.
- Control settings: drag response, aim guide, tier pips and soft impacts.
- Two first-run flags: whether the intro tour was shown and the deepest story beat reached.
This data never leaves your device. It is not uploaded to Moss Crumble or to any third party. Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage deletes all of it permanently.
Permissions
The game requests no runtime permissions. It does not use the camera, microphone, location, contacts, photos, notifications or any storage outside its own private folder. The release build declares no Android permissions; the INTERNET entry that Flutter's tooling adds to debug and profile builds is absent from the version on Google Play.
Network use
Fully offline. The game opens no sockets, makes no web requests and ships no networking library. Every image, font and chamber layout is packed inside the app, and it plays the same in airplane mode.
Third-party services
None are integrated: no analytics, advertising, crash reporting, accounts or in-app purchases. Besides the open-source Flutter framework the app uses four open-source Dart packages (flutter_riverpod, sqflite, intl, flutter_animate), none of which sends anything anywhere. The Fredoka typeface is used under the SIL Open Font License 1.1.
Children's privacy
Because nothing is collected or transmitted, the game is suitable for players of any age. It gathers no personal information from children under 13 (COPPA) or under 16 (GDPR-K), since it gathers none from anybody.
Your rights
Everything the game keeps sits on your phone and stays under your control. You can change the surveyor name and settings at any time inside the app. Uninstalling removes the local database and every value listed above for good; no copy exists anywhere else, so there is nothing to request, export or ask us to delete.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, the date at the top of this page will be revised. Material changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
